The convection drying of grains and seeds has proven itself as a reliable method for preserving quality and storage stability. The primary intention of farmers is to achieve low drying costs and additionally, secondary effects like CO2-emission reduction, protection of the single kernels and high quality. How crop-specific energy requirements and drier-specific efficiency can be assessed has not been determined yet. The purpose of this evaluation was to ascertain if driers and drying processes can be described by using parameters.Downloads
